Lessons Learned.
NEVER... EVER... buy bedding offline without seeing it in person first. So, as I talked about before, Kevin and I are revamping our master bedroom && switching from an ancient queen mattress to a nice fluffy pillow top king {the mattress still hasn't shipped by the way}. Anyways, obviously we need new bedding to go with our bed set. So after DAYS of searching in store & online we find a bedding we both like... & at $60 we couldn't pass it up. Here is a picture of this marvelous bedding:

Cute right? Well, this package arrives yesterday and when I open it to finally see my beautiful comforter... I notice nice BRIGHT RED ink stains on park of the white. OH HECK NO! I take the comforter out of it's plastic packaging only to discover that, not only is it stained, the fabric quality is HORRIBLE ultra thin polyester that has already begun to fray around the stitching. Our "steal" was not even worth the price we paid for it.
So later that evening when Kevin got home we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, returned the nasty bedding & found wonderful bedding which we both like even more... ON CLEARANCE!!!! Originally $150, on sale for $100 + my thrifty 20 percent off coupon brought it down to a grand total of $80. Now that's what I call a steal for some quality sleeping materials!
I cannot wait until this room is put together!!! For now, another sneak peek: Feast your eyes on this wonderful bedding!

Organization.
We ordered a new bed & mattress YAY! This would be wonderful... if the two had shipped together. Instead, my 254 pound bed frame is en route from Dallas while my mattress remains in a lonely warehouse waiting to be shipped to a new home. So now, where the heck am I going to store this beast until its parter arrives. I can't put it in my bedroom now because it's a king size bed and we currently have a queen. Unfortunately, this baby is going in the dining room, which has often become a wasteland for baby equipment, boxes of diapers, TVs, ect.
I love my best friend and all, but this apartment is TOO SMALL for all of us. Kevin and I will be on our own in this place on March 1st. While I will miss seeing Krystal & my babies everyday, I am looking forward to having more space. This move is also great for us because we have been crafting up a storm!!! I promise to post pictures soon. Tomorrow is painting day!
Now to the real subject of this post: ORGANIZATION!!!!
It's no secret that I am not the tidiest person. That obviously needs to change so, I'm taking on a new project, aside from redecorating this apartment one room at a time. I am organizing my life in 2011 and am going to share all about it on this blog (EVEN the dirty, nasty before pictures!). So project number one is the bedroom! I should have it mostly under control within the week and will update once it's finished.
I also have an awesome kitchen project to share soon and a complete pantry sweep that will come in the near future... STAY TUNED!
oh & a little preview of what our room entails....

Oh I wish...
I am completely obsessed with crafting!!! If I had the time I would do it everyday. In a few months I am redecorating and would love to have a few new tools to help in the process. The most essential tool would be a Silhouette SD craft cutter (wink wink to my hubs... Valentines Day is coming up). Anyways, rather than buy one I am hoping to win one through one of my favorite craft blogs :) You should enter too!

2 months ago today...
Declan is 2 months old! I can't believe that it's only been two months. It is so amazing to see how much he has changed! He has his well check tomorrow & gets his first round of shots! I'm scared for him as bad as it sounds lol.
I've learned a lot the past two months. The most important lesson so far I think I have learned is that no matter how rough the nights are and how fussy he is during the day, when he smiles & laughs everything is better. That sounds so corny but it is so true. He is slowly (quickly) turning into this little person with a huge personality. He is becoming very vocal and using his hands more and more. I love him to bits and cannot believe how much he is growing up.

I don't ever wanna leave you.
With my job search in full force & my maternity leave quickly coming to an end, I can't help but feel sad. At the current moment, going back to work feels like the end of the world. I feel like Declan is growing up too fast & I feel like by going back to work that I'm going to miss everything. I want to stay home and be with him all the time. To be honest, motherhood is not what I expected it to be and it is definitely not easy but I love it. I know I have to go back to work & I am coming to terms with it. I just don't want to!!!!

Job fail!
Well, I didn't get the job. I'm bummed but not surprised seeing as I have no prior banking experience. I tried my best and am thankful that I was given the opportunity to interview and I have gained some experience (& a super cute new outfit) from the process. That being said, I am not giving up on finding a better job. I applied a few more places today. If they call me, fantastic, if not, life goes on. I am grateful that regardless of however my job searching turns out, I still have a job, even if I don't like it very much.
I still have high hopes that I will find a job that better suits me!
