Houston, we have a baby!

I am proud to announce that Declan Conner officially joined our family on November 16 weighing in at 6lbs 5oz & 19 inches long. After an attempted induction, Declan entered the world via crash C-section on Tuesday at 12:33 pm. He is absolutely perfect and 100% healthy. I am still recovering but feeling pretty dang good considering.

30 Days of Truth: Day

Day four of this lovely experiment asks me to write about something that I have to forgive someone for.
This is probably the most easy question to answer so far. I need to forgive my father. I need to forgive him for cheating on my mother and destroying our family. I need to forgive him for always choosing his girlfriends over my brother and I. I need to forgive him for completely abandoning my brother before his high school graduation, and abandoning me throughout my entire pregnancy. Overall, I need to forgive my father for the last six years. I probably never will completely forgive him for the things he has done not only to me but to my brother as well. Quite possibly the biggest thing I need to forgive father for is taking advantage of my grandma. Of course she doesn't realize that he has but everyone else knows and it kills me to watch her struggle in order to make sure my dad is happy. Now, here is where I should add that I in know way hate my father. I love him very much but I hate his actions and what has come as a result of his actions. My dad has had every opportunity since my mother passed to make things right and still chose to associate with criminals and partake in illegal actions. My dad now lives at a federal holding facility in Pahrump awaiting sentencing. My only hope is that when he has served his time, he will learn from his mistakes and become a better person. One can only hope.

Day 1: Something you hate about yourself.
Day 2: Something you love about yourself.
Day 3: Something you have to forgive yourself for.
Day 4: Something you have to forgive someone for.

Day 5: Something you hope to do in your life.
Day 6: Something you hope you never have to do.
Day 7: Someone who has made your life worth living for.
Day 8: Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like shit.
Day 9: Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted.
Day 10: Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.
Day 11: Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
Day 12: Something you never get compliments on.
Day 13: A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough ass days. (write a letter.)
Day 14: A hero that has let you down. (letter)
Day 15: Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
Day 16: Someone or something you definitely could live without.
Day 17: A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Day 18: Your views on gay marriage.
Day 19: What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?
Day 20: Your views on drugs and alcohol.
Day 21: (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?
Day 22: Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
Day 23: Something you wish you had done in your life.
Day 24: Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs. (Just post the titles and artists and letter)
Day 25: The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
Day 26: Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?
Day 27: What’s the best thing going for you right now?
Day 28: What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Day 29: Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.
Day 30: A letter to yourself: tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself.

Regular Posting

I had hoped that by starting this blog with the 30 days of truth would motivate me to post on a regular basis. Apparently I was wrong. So from here on out, I promise to make semi-regular updates, and eventually finish my 30 days of truth.

To update: I am almost 2 weeks out from d-day and cannot wait until my baby boy gets here! In the mean time, I still have a few assignments and 5 hours of online classroom observations to complete. My last day of work in Friday so I am hoping to get all of that done, and my house clean after then. I got 95 percent of my Christmas shopping done and am trying my hardest not to decorate until it gets closer to Thanksgiving. Let the holiday crafting and festivities begin!
